Get there early the traffic backs up fast. Wear good walking shoes. Dress for cold in the morning and it will be warm to hot in the afternoon.

And bring eye protection. It can get windy. The wind will kick up sand into your eyes. I remember one year it was so bad that folks ran from the flightline and huddled up in the hangers

Does anyone know where there's a P97 file made up for Edwards? I'm headed out there this afternoon to camp around Red Rock Canyon, and will be first in line on Saturday. :)

Going to go get the sand in your eyes first? Watch out it has started to cool down out here now and the dirt bikers have started their return. I cna already hear Mercy Air 14 and Medivac 1 on the way to Dove Springs.

Ok, so what did you guys hear at the show?

Best freqs I heard was:

143.858 Thunderbirds leader
235.250 Thunderbirds Solos
308.700 Airboss
343.700 Sport Control
120.700 Edwards Tower
339.225 R2515/Black Mt. refueling

Great show, :D I got there 8am Sun., no problem parking, Definately worth having a scanner that gets mil-air. We set up our chairs right at the entrance to taxiway B, right at the fence, perfect spot to get pics of all the planes heading to the runway. Position of the sun made flying shots difficult. Female was flying Thunderbird#3, very imressive, she was a former F-15E pilot. Weather was perfect, about 77deg.
The weapons loading guys had a very cool bomb, and rocket display in the static area. The B1-B demo was a must see, awesome! that thing is definatly the one of loudest, most intimidating aircraft in our inventory.
Leaving show took longer, huge lines to get on the shuttle back to the parking lot. They didn't post which line was for what lot, so we got in the wrong line at first. Otherwise they handled the crowds pretty well.
We had a great time! That's my mini-review, :)Mark
