I have tried the conventional frequencies in the database, with no joy.

Are all the FD's in the southern part of the county now on a trunking system?

Specifically Fabens/Tornillo, and Clint? What about EMS and SO?

Yes. https://www.radioreference.com/apps/db/?sid=6727

I suspect there are other VHF sites, but 800 miles is a little far to drive just to scope sites with Unitrunker.

I am disappointed in you. Only 800 miles.

The traffic for Fabens, Tornillo, and Clint is rare, so it is a waiting game. I am bringing a couple of scanners back when I go so I can try to figure it out.

The border patrol traffic is almost all AES, so no fun to listen to. A little low power stuff right near us, but that is normally just the CBP guys working the entry point. I may try to set up Unitrunker, the life of a COML out there is fairly boring LOL.

Next time you are there see if there are any real 700 MHz frequencies (769-776 MHz) in use. It looks like the database has a fake Site 3 where somebody submitted fake image frequencies and the admins fell for it.

In the US there are no trunked repeater outputs on 794-796 MHz.

There are also way more VHF frequencies licensed than what it in the database.
