PPRCN co-located a new site at Swank just NW of Palmer Lake at one of the Douglas County South Simulcast sub-sites, the same sub-site that can be heard from Colorado Springs.

It is licensed for 8 frequencies, but extended logging of the site only reveals 6 channels. The other channels could be there, but they probably will not be making any appearance unless something really big happens in northern El Paso County. It has one of the more aggressive site profiles on DTRS and pretty much denies all talkgroups outside of El Paso County, northern El Paso County fire departments, AMR, and mutual aid.

The license is in danger is being terminated due to personnel changes and lost paperwork, but I am guessing that the FCC will probably make an exception in this case.

Can this be added to the database or not?

Thanks for finding this info. I was in Monument the other day and Douglas South with El Paso units was working fine.

Days later back in my city home, I got Douglas South just fine, but without El Paso Fire.

Tri Lakes was running with Franktown and Larkspur for a wreck on 83 in Douglas County. Tri Lakes were working on Douglas Fire Ops 3.

FCC Partially Grants Construction Petition from Colorado County

The FCC granted a petition filed by El Paso County, Colorado, in part and denied it in part. The commission dismissed a request for extension of time to construct.

The petition for reconsideration concerned the partial termination of its license for call sign WPTQ260 for failure to timely construct. The construction deadline for call sign WPTQ260 was April 10.
