Which company and which frequency. I see three companies listed in the Caddo Parish part of the database: Entergy, American electric Power Company, and Demco Energy Services.

Well SWEPCO services the city from what I know. DEMCO is based primarily in South LA but I see they have a Shreveport freq so I don't know. Maybe they cover one of the rural areas? Entergy doesn't have any freq listed for Shreveport. I know they cover NE LA but I don't know how far west they come. I would think if you are in Shreveport, you are SWEPCO.

Shreveport Electric Company....

Hi,

SWEPCO "merged" or was bought out by American Electric Power (AEP) so the name is actually,
AEP/SWEPCO. Once you cross the Louisiana "border" along I-20 thru Waskom, most of it is
Panola/Harrison and in Marshall, Tx, AEP/SWEPCO picks back up. Trust me, those radio calls are
boring, LOL! Even if you listen, you can't tell ANYONE what was said by SWEPCO employees as it
is a violation of the PRIVACY ACT of 1934.

Now, the Gas company here, uses MDT's to dispatch their service vehicles and you won't be able
to "see" any information they transmit.

The Water Department is a City run and on the Caddo 911 800 mhz trunked system.

I hope this helps.

Respectfully,
73 (Best Regard),

Yeah, thanks. I was asking because I was working in Shreveport for a couple of weeks and I wanted to know what power company to monitor if the power went out in the hotel. That might sound kind of nerdy but I like to be prepared for every monitoring eventuality.
