I haven't monitored them in a while, however if they still use their radios, they would be on 472.9625 MHz.

They use 472.9875 PL 82.5 in the Edison area, which also covers Union County.

They are known as "NUI Utilities" in the FCC database. Both frequencies mentioned earlier are alocated to them in the FCC database. However, I have only confirmed hearing 472.9625 in Union County. I have both of them programmed in my scanner now, but not picking anything up on either frequency.

I noticed recently that E-Gas has possibly switched to MotoTRBO mode (as indictaed by thier FCC emission listing). Can anyone in the Union Co. area verify this on the 472.9875 freq.? I get a strong signal down in Monmouth County close to the shore areas in TRBO mode, but yet I'm two miles from one of their repeater towers in Edison and have not heard anything yet to confirm or deny that they are using TRBO mode. Thanks in advance, and will update the database once this is confirmed.

I used to dispatch for them several years back. Then they were using HT1000's UHF. I hear now from one of the guys I still keep contact with that they have new radio equipment so that Moto Trbo thing may be true. We used to mostly use the radios but when I got laid off in 2005 we were just getting mdt's and were sending them emergency jobs like that.
