Marcy, I always enjoy your posts although they make me a bit homesick. Having moved from Shoreham, NY to Wilmington, NC was like going from a feast to a famine!

Thinking about NC or WV? Scanning wise, local systems for PD open or enc?

I didn't mean to hijack this thread, and I apologize Marcy.
Re: scanning in ILM: Wilmington PD, New Hanover County Sheriff, Carolina Beach PD, Kure Beach PD are all encrypted. Any other public service scanning is scarce. Pender and Brunswick County's are on the NC VIPER system and not all encrypted .

We have spoken before, I grew up in Pennsylvania, Philadelphia area, I think you are around the Stony Brook area as I moved to Long Island in the late sixties early seventies and graduated High School in West Islip, went to Kings Park Hospital School of Nursing for my RN degree which closed in 1975 after I graduated, I went to Stony Brook and eventually, St Joseph's University in Brooklyn for my public health degree. I know Long Island like the back of my hand.

My parents lived in Westhampton Beach and I lived in Hauppauge, then Nassau County, Westbury and Roslyn. We're talking about the '70s, I worked at North Shore University Hospital in Manhasset for 11 years and then moved back to Pennsylvania.

It's always interesting to hear about your posts, you are obviously extremely experienced and a ham operator. Never let some of the intimidating people in the past who have attacked you,.. stop you ! 😉

I've moved back to the Philly area but I'm totally retired now as you can imagine.

Interesting; thank you. I had that freq listed in my notes as being the input to 162.1625. I'm wondering now if they've reversed the pair.
162.1625 has been the input for quite sometime
and would likely remain that way to conform with the NTIA Band plan requirements
