I have a Facebook page and would like to embed my feed using custom tabs. However, due to security reasons, Facebook does not allow the embedding of html or links that are not secure (do not use https://).

The feed itself works fine if I replace http with https, but the stats and auto start feature do not work. Lindsay or Gordon, can you look into this and possibly fix it?

For reference: https://www.facebook.com/scanpei/app/239549166105537/
Stats and auto start are both enabled, but do not work.

Thanks!

Lindsay,

Would it be possible to make the text "This feed hosted by Broadcastify" align with the flash player, and the other text on the HTML 5 player. Looks funny with the player aligned to the left while the text is in the center.

Thanks

ScanPEI, How did you go about adding your feed to your facebook page?

You need to use "Facebook for Developers" and create an app, or a service similar to "Pagemodo". I used Pagemodo which allows you to create 1 free custom tab. Then you use the HTML option and add your embed code found on your feed owners page. The only thing you have to change is in the embed code URL, it has to be HTTPS and not HTTP.

Hope that makes sense.

The embed option has it's own HTML 5 player, you do not need to use a different one. Just put "HTML5=1" in the url, same as "as=1" for example. Make sure to properly adjust the height.

If you still prefer to use your own player and just want to use the embed option for the stats, place <br> between the two codes.
