I have exactly the same problem as described in a post from Flaw101 in this forum entitled "Interference". Unfortunately the thread is closed and I can not PM the original poster to find his solution. The system indicated he was here yesterday so ... @flaw101 what did you do?

Thanks

It's most likely from a speed controller if it's has variable speed. If so, replacing the controller with just an On/Off switch or replacing the entire fan is probably the only solution.

Several things that cause EMI interference that are banned from my house:
-Fluorescent lights
-Dimmer light switches/light
-Reversible rotation washers (really can mess things up enough to make one scream)
-Devices from the power company to control water heater times to reduce system load (these are not well shielded and they sometimes interfere on VHF - in my case the local 2m frequency(I disconnected it myself the day it was installed after complaining -to them)
-Old CRTs

Not much you can do about the above particularly when your neighbors use them.

I originally banned LED bulbs but later models are on special secret probation.

You would think my beloved M8000 decoder would play nice but on 5Mhz I can hear garbage via 570D that feeds it.

I've been very lucky! Every light bulb and floodlight inside and outside my home are LEDs, and three LED dimmers, and a variable speed ceiling fan that also has a LED cluster light in the middle. I also have a Phillips HUE wireless lighting control system, Alexa is controlling a ton of things in my home. I also have a SimpliSafe wireless alarm system with tons of various wireless sensors! I also have 2.4GB and 5GB WiFi throughout the entire house, as well as a couple hundred feet of CAT6 network cable. Nothing seems to interfere with any of my four scanner radios, all using indoor antennas, and none of them are grounded.

Anyone run into RFI issues with a fan motor controller that converts AC to DC?
Maybe some of these links will offer a solution. Or, replace the fan?
