Hello fellow scanners. I dont know if it helps but I'am pretty certain that I heard Empire Ambulance being dispatched on 46.100 MHZ today. I know that in the past a few scanning monitors have started new threads asking for Empire Ambulance frequencies, so tonight when I heard them being dispatched on 46.100 I thought that I would submit this thread. It might help some scanning monitors and then again some other monitors might already know about this frequency, however I felt that I should post this since Empire Ambulance seems to be the topic of a lot of threads.

P.S. I was not able to get a PL or DPL if there was one, sorry.

empire ambulance service is on a 155.205 i believe. the reason you hear them on 46.10 is becuase that is rensselaer county emergency services dispatch channel. fire/ems dispatch i believe the freq. is listed in albany county's freqs somewhere if not check nf2g.com

Empire Ambulance

Yes I know that Empire Ambulance uses 155.205 as there dispatch channel, I was simply letting everyone know that also heard them dispatched on 46.100. Empire Ambulance has been a hot topic lately so I thought that I would try and help my fellow scanning buddies out.

Empire and Mohawk are dispatched on primary fire or EMS channels in all counties where they provide service. You will also hear dispatches for Empire on Warren County's main fire channel, for example.

Empire's (and Mohawk's and CDA's) ambulances and ALS flycars can operate on Rensselaer County's and the City of Albany's trunked systems.

Actually, there isn't much radio traffic on 155.205 anymore and what little traffic there is mostly consists of administrative stuff. Most emergency runs Empire is dispatched to will be dispatched by the county (Warren and Rensselaer for example) and the non-emergency stuff will be done via Nextel through the office in Troy.

Empire STATE Ambulance

cookiend15,

I started a thread a while ago asking about Empire STATE Ambulance in the Lower Hudson Valley (Dutchess/Putnam Area). Aparently there is an Empire Ambulance further upstate and Empire State Ambulance based in Fishkill in southern Dutchess County.

Thanks for your help though.
