EMS Codes

I worked for AMR here in Jackson the "A" and "B" stood for the type of treatment that the patient was given while enroute to the hospital and was relayed to dispatch as the unit went back 10-8 from the hospital.

Be safe

EMS Codes

MississippiPI-
Thanks for the help I hear dispatch to a unit
Example: Unit 345 Code 1 Status 3 123 CR 89
I know the code must mean level of emergency and I'm guessing status is what type it is
anyone know?

Unit is the Ambulance number.
Code 1 at EMSERV is Non Emergent.
Code 2 is Urgent/ Rush
Code 3 is lights and siren...per State Law.

EMSERV uses "Status" where AAA uses "Signal"
Most are easy to figure out. I listened to Emserv for 3 years and never figured all of them out. Free State of Jones...

Alpha and Bravo are Patient Conditions.
Alpha is a critical patient. Trauma related. Low b/p, or unconcious, or major trauma. Basically a really "bad" patient
Bravo is a non critical trauma patient.

These 2 conditions are used in the SE Trauma District. I'm not sure if they are used elsewhere.

ASAP... uses SouthernLinc, Lamar 800mHz Trunk and Hospital Net, 155.340, when calling in reports
