• Effective immediately we will be deleting, without notice, any negative threads or posts that deal with the use of encryption and streaming of scanner audio.

We've noticed a huge increase in rants and negative posts that revolve around agencies going to encryption due to the broadcasting of scanner audio on the internet. It's now worn out and continues to be the same recycled rants. These rants hijack the threads and derail the conversation. They no longer have a place anywhere on this forum other than in the designated threads in the Rants forum in the Tavern.

If you violate these guidelines your post will be deleted without notice and an infraction will be issued. We are not against discussion of this issue. You just need to do it in the right place. For example:

I'm trying to create a list of public service agencies in Arkansas which encrypt their main dispatch channels. Here's what I have so far:

Little Rock PD
North Little Rock PD
Russellville PD
Arkansas Tech University Campus Safety
Paragould PD
Greene County Sheriff
Malvern PD
Drew County Sheriff
Batesville PD
Monticello PD
Bryant PD

Any others?

I think it would also be a good idea to include what system these "channels" are on.

Drew County Sheriff and Monticello PD are on MOTOTRBO conventional.
And I know LR & NLR PD are on AWIN.

Here are the unknowns that I have no data on.....
Arkadelphia PD on DMR
Baptist Medical Center EMS/ER in Arkadelphia on DMR
Clark County Sheriff DMR CH. (This I find confusing as they use the analog freqs for primary op, and apparently the DMR for tac.... So it is possible the DMR is E.)

Conway PD on the current Motorola Smart Zone system, and most likely on the new Harris P25 Phase II that just came online.

Morrilton City PD is also using basic privacy on time slot 2 on their DMR frequency. Slot one is in the clear for now. Conway County SO also has been talking about going to DMR with Basic Privacy.
There has been talks about Van Buren SO and Vilonia city PD Encrypting their channels as well.
