Does anyone know where I can get an Elite 750 radio repaired? It will not power up, and there appears to be a common issue with a circuit board in this unit.

Have you tried reaching out to Eton Corp? They have an email address and 800 # for customer support. It's worth a try, given you seem to be unsure where to start.

Well, I did a search for "shortwave radio repair". This was the first result. There were others. I have no idea where this guy is located, or even if he is still repairing radios. He specifically mentions repairing shortwave radios, including portables. He has an email address listed on the page linked below. Otherwise, you may have to do some sleuthing on your own, or perhaps someone else here will know of a better option.

As with any repair, parts availability could be a major issue, and the cost could easily begin to approach the price of a new radio.

Good luck. The 750 is a great radio and worth a bit of effort to see if it can be repaired.

I don't believe that Eton makes the Elite 750 since I've seen the exact same model with the Hallicrafters name on the radio.

Seriously? Hallicrafters? Wow! Hallicrafters was an American company that started manufacturing radios over 90 years ago. (see 1941 ad in the photo below) They manufactured shortwave/HF receivers, amateur radio gear, CB radios, even TV's. They went out of business in the 1970's some time. Hallicrafters has not manufactured any radios in over 50 years. Some company must have purchased the rights to the name.

The Elite 750 was made by Tecsun and sold under several names, Eton, Grundig, and of course, Tecsun.

I said Hallicrafters when I meant to say Grundig. Sorry. By the way, I found a guy who can fix my radio who works out of his house & only lives a few miles from me. He quoted me $ 75 - 85.

Ah, OK. That's great that you found a tech close by. No need to risk more damage in shipping the radio both ways.
