I’ve had my new Eton Elite Executive for about two weeks now, and I’ve used it enough now to feel comfortable reviewing it. As some here may be aware, Eton has apparently discontinued it, and dumped their inventory on eBay resellers. Beginning in April, these became available for $40-50. I got mine for $43- $52 with shipping.

In a nutshell:
1. I think it’s the Toyota Camry of radios
2. At $40-50 it’s a steal

So. This radio, like a Toyota Camry, does many things well- sensitive, lots of features, built well, looks nice (but not “too” nice), just quietly does it’s job well while being pretty vanilla.

Performance:
Equally as sensitive on SW as my Tecsun PL-660 and XHData D-109WB
Qodosen DX-286 usually beats it on SW
Air band works pretty well, and leaves PL-660 in the dust
I have not done much if any DXing with it on MW or FM yet
Sound from speaker is not impressive

User Experience:
I found this radio to be relatively easy to learn how to use
Setup was fast and straightforward using manual
User manual is a good one, written in actual English
Buttons feel good
Display looks nice and is easy to read

Could be better:
I like that it uses 4 AA batteries, but it takes forever to charge them
Eton cheaps out on included extras- my Tecsun came with AC adapter,4 rechargeable batteries, earbuds, a carrying pouch and a wire antenna
Eton came with adapter and case
I always thought this radio was way overpriced- MSRP was $229, Amazon until recently was charging $130 for it
This radio is a twin of the XHData D-808, which is usually about $100 from Amazon

Bottom line: a really good radio for a really good price, but I never would have paid $130 for it
