Last week, Eugene Fire Chief Randy Groves took over the position of Fire Chief from Dennis Murphy who has retired from the Springfield Fire Department to take a job with the International Assocation of Fire Chief's. The department now has 16 Fire Stations between the two cities combined, making resources more readily available.

The frequencies won't change and will remain the same as I've heard. Kevin, you heard any changes lately?

Jeff and Group,

I havent had any up dates or heard of any changes freq wise yet. I was told 3 months ago that Freqs will be changing to narrowband and repeaters. At that time the freqs were yet unknown, they were still in the works of geting freq pairs ect, and would be testing repeaters when they had the freq pairs. I was also told the freq change over will happen in September of this year. When i get any more up dates or get new freq line for Central lane county fire, i get it posted.
