Just got a email from FAA central in TX on a FOIA request for ZAU Hi/Lo sector freq. maps and lat/lon on sectors on Cleveland Center that they mailed a CD with this info and will post when I recieve, the turnaround on FAA FOIA seems to be 3.5 weeks now.

Thanks for the update. I'd be interested in seeing that info. I put a request in for the ZFW, ZHU, ZAB SOPs over a year ago and I'm still waiting. I guess if you just ask for the charts and sector info only they process them much faster.

Absolutely unaceptable a FOIA would be needed for this. We the people paid (past tense) for the equipment and data. The data should be online like a TFR and nationwide not having to indicate specific sectors.

What was the price of the CD?
  1. 49 U.S.C. § 552, as amended, and 49 CFR § 7.42 part 7, allow FAA to charge certain fees when processing FOIA requests. FAA can charge for:
  1. Time spent searching, either manually or electronically, for responsive records;
  2. Time spent reviewing those records for possible redactions; and
  3. Cost of duplication on paper, CD/DVD or USB flash drive.

Unfornatly the FAA did not send a condesed maps of sectors with freqs, FL and names but individual sectors PDF. The chicago sectors attached is also avail on the web including SOP. So there for will not post.
