Fairfax County, VA police scanner

The feed has been down for nearly 2 weeks now. In the past, it has been down for a day or two, but nothing like this. New to the forum...anyone have any ideas as to what the issue could be?

You should probably contact the feed provider directly via his Broadcastify page...

Feeds are almost always voluntary and at the expense of the feeder so be considerate of that. They don't really owe the public anything.

I'm assuming all the feeds are receiving from the same site and the Alexandria feed has the message, "Currently experiencing technical problems with this feed. We are working on the issue, however there might be extended downtime due the the rural location of the radio."

All feeds are streamed by Broadcastify....Feed providers individually supply the feeds...The feed provider posted the message....not Broadcastify....He must have computer problems...Some providers don't want to be bothered by anybody contacting them....his choice....be patient...

Might want to look who the feed provider is.You can say broadcastify posted the message also.

In that case I guess the feed provider would be Broadcastify.....LOL...He must be on Audio3....He has 4 feeds down

I know right, I rely on the scanner for private security and have actually used the scanner to perform an arrest at one point when Fairfax was looking for a subject who ran onto my property.

Then you should buy a scanner. I would not rely on a scanner feed if you are working in the security field.

I'm considering it, this feed just received a very decent signal compared to what some of the portable scanners receive in this location. Plus the database to listen to past events was essential.
