Hello,

Using Sentinel and a BCD 436.

Question re Favorites Lists, creating of:

Let’s say I have an existing FAV called Sudbury Only
I guess this top level is called “System”

Then, the next level down is called “Department”

And the lowest level, the one with the frequencies is called “Sites” (“Channels”)

Using Sentinel, I want to take just a few lines and frequencies from the “Sites”, and
create a new FAV list called Sudbury Only 1

I can create a new FAV list entry called Sudbury Only 1 without any problem, but I cannot seem to copy from the original Site and past into this new one.

The right hand pane seems lightly greyed out.
Also, no copy and paste options.

How do I do it, please ?

Or, does each separate FAV in the FAV Listing have to have the complete three level
hierarchy of System/Department/Sites ? (e.g., can't just do a "Sites" alone)

Thanks,
Bob

Are you able to select the frequencies you want out of the main db the right click and "append" to your Sudbury only 1 favorites list? Another option might be to create the new favorites list with the extra stuff in it, then edit that one down to just the frequencies you want.

Hierarchy is not quite what you describe, and is different for Trunked and Conventional.

Conventional:
Favorites list
-----System
----------Departments
---------------Channels (frequencies)

Trunked:
Favorites List
-----System
----------Sites
---------------Frequencies
----------Departments
---------------Talk Groups

So, I have no idea what type of system you are working with. In general, though, to get something from the main dB into a FL, use "Append to Favorites List" in the right-click drop-down.

Sites don't individually append as I recall.

You can either append the whole system to a fav list and then delete what you don't want, or you can manually create a site by entering it manually.

Your description of what you want to do and potentially incorrect hierarchy make it hard to figure out what you are trying to do, but suggest appending everything and deleting whAT you don't want.
