Do the Fed Prisons actually have a UHF system like the SCIs or are they APCO-25 digital or something?

I tried looking for FCI Loretto but only seem to find state prisons and county prisons in PA not the Feds.

Old thread... but to answer you, sure many FCIs have trunked systems in the 400 Mhz area. The ones I have heard were analog Motorola at one point but are now digital.

You might find them in the 400-420 Mhz region. They may be true P25 systems (9600 baud control channel), but the FCI I monitor over in Columbiana Co Ohio as well as other FCIs that I've seen referenced as digital appear to be 3600 baud control channel but with a APCO-25 interface).
