You bought a key for DMR? If so, the software is not involved in entering the key, it is done directly on the scanner. Menu -> Settings -> Upgrade -> Upgrade DMR/MotoTRBO

FDMA (P25 phase I) doesn't require an additional purchase.

Where did you hear of, and purchase a "dprm" key for your SDS200 scanner?

And where and how did you install a "dprm" key on your SDS200?

You will need to download the latest version.

New: version 2.4 now supports dPMR for the SDS100E/SDS200E models

You usually search frequency ranges and when you encounter a dPMR frequency the display will indicate that, or if you listen to the recordings. I think that Deim manage to add dPMR to his UniversalScannerAudioPlayer so you can move all files to your PC and quickly see if you have any dPMR in the recordings.

dPMR 446:
dPMR 446 is a licence-free two-way radio communication format for use in peer-to-peer operations without base stations or repeaters in the 446 MHz UHF band. This technology is covered by the ETSI standard TS102 490.

Mode 1:
dPMR Mode 1 forms the basis for all forms of licenced PMR use and is part of the ETSI standard TS102 658.

Mode 2:
PMR Mode 2 is the licenced conventional PMR version that includes all base station and repeater functionality and allows interfaces via gateways (Telephone, IP etc.) and is part of the ETSI standard TS102 658.

Mode 3:
dPMR Mode 3 is part of the ETSI standard TS102 658 and offers managed access, multi-site trunked systems and systems where the full functionality of the protocol is available.

It has to work in the same way as other DMR modes like XPT and CAP+ and CON does. You can't do any selections in ARC or the scanner. It's done automatically for you and you can only do selections if DMR should be for conventional or trunked mode.
