FDNY dispatch protocol

My apologies if this question is pinned somewhere already. If any given dispatcher from (Manhattan, Bronx, Brooklyn, queens, etc.) knows that a unit is in quarters, what is the procedure for notifying the firehouse that they have a call? I know there is the house watch. Does the dispatcher manually pick up the phone and call the house that’s due or how does that work? I know that there are mdts and radios that units in the field get notified on. I’m so used to tones and Westnet type systems.
