Possibly the new training facility on east side of 340 south of the Harper's Ferry light. I heard it was for Border Patrol, but unsure if that is correct. The paper said that it would be a very large facility. Maybe the reason for several checkpoints?

we'll have to be on the "look out" for new freqs being used.

heard about 3 seconds of traffic today at about 8am on 418.9 with a tone of 156.7. it was really quick, I think I heard Harper's Ferry mentioned. I looked and it's listed as DEA Channel 2.

since I have been parked on it for the last 15min or so, I have not heard any more voice traffic but do hear short bursts of data.

may be something to monitor.

I heard traffic on the IRS freq 414.9 and I caught the tone of 123.0. already submitted it for entry in the database.

heard encrypted P25 traffic on 167.5375 today for about 30 secs or so. in the Wiki and/or the new Federal Forum, this is listed as FBI channel 5 and 6.

163.1 Digital

hearing traffic right now on 163.100MHz. It is P25 and full strength. sounds like they are working on a transmitter on a tower somewhere. this is in Berkeley Co.

a lot more traffic (encrypted of course) today. the signal is about 1/2 scale.

I haven't heard anything on 163.1 here in Loudoun. But I just heard a radio check on 169.1625 PL103.5 which I don't have on any of my lists.
It went like this:

"Foxtrot radio check. Control to Romeo-1". He responds "Romeo-1 10-2, 10-4."
"Control to Lima1Lima2." He responds with "Lima1Lima2". "Control to RomeoLima", who checks in. It ends with "Sierra1 Channel 4 radio check complete."

I haven't heard anything on 163.1 here in Loudoun. But I just heard a radio check on 169.1625 PL103.5 which I don't have on any of my lists.

the traffic on 163.100 is like I said, digital. it almost sounded like a general freq. heard one talking about taking a load to the dump. another was someone asking a lady to call the cell phone company to have them check their equipment because it was causing a lot of noise on their system.

I'll see if I have 169.1625 on mine, if not I will add it now.

1732- Just had a few hits on that 415.2 P25 freq. No actual comms yet. 1735- Ok, some in the clear and some encrypted.
Checked some notes and I have it listed as Federal Protective Service - F-1 Dispatch.

I think either White House or Secret Service since both use the 103.5 tone. Plus it really sounded like the same guy.

I'll have to check for the possibility of it actually being some like 169.165

167.925 I hear a lot of what sounds like a mic keying but nothing else. I did have all on search for the PL but have since took it off. I think I saw it the other day with a PL but not sure what it was.
