I was thinking about moving my feed to more compact like on Raspberry pi. Right now I have it on a dedicated desktop computer. How well does feeds run on Pi? Another question is will it also send TGID's

what type of feed are you referencing? your mention of TGID implies that it is a digital radio system that you are monitoring. A simple analog feed is pretty straightforward on a pi. You will be into sdr sticks and decoding software for a digital feed. Can definitely be done on a pi but requires more hp and setup.

why would I need decoding software? I run digital and analog feed now a 996XT into a PC computer. I was thinking about running it on something smaller.

in that case, the decoding software is inside the 996XT. In essence, the scanner turns the digital system’s signal into an analog signal which is then output to your streaming device (currently your PC). An analog stream requires little computer Hp, a 10 yr old RPi1 (or similar) with a usb sound card and darkice streaming software will do an admirable job.
