I've come across a new fire buff network at www.tspsr.org, the Tri State Public Safety Radio Association. Says they operate in the Bucks Co (PA) and Mercer/Hunterdon Co area with expanding coverage coming. Has anybody heard of them and know what freqs they're on? FYI, East Coast 911 repeater 451.900 is no longer operational, and haven't heard Philly Metro Radio, 464.25 in quite a while.

I came across that too. I sent them an email about 3 days ago with a couple of questions (repeater freq. or at least the location). I wasn't about to drop money on a membership without being able to see if I could even hear the repeater first.

So far I have heard nothing back.

Just an update, I did get a response back today and there will probably be more information coming from them soon.

I wish you guys luck, we've needed a group like this in my part of NJ for a while now.

buff groups

this is the 1st responder news radio group. they assisted the pennsylvania group (i forget which one) get back on their feet and are in the process of setting something up in north jersey next with hopes of expanding into central nj. i do not have freq info yet. by the way, firecom radio is still together for monmouth/ocean/middlesex areas. just not the fire traffic there is in north jersey. kevin

This group's Gloucester County repeater, 451.95 D732, is operational. Not a lot of traffic, but I do recognize voices from the old East Coast 911 and Phila Metro systems.
You'll need the DPL for this, during the weekday, there's a lot of school bus traffic.
