• Effective immediately we will be deleting, without notice, any negative threads or posts that deal with the use of encryption and streaming of scanner audio.

We've noticed a huge increase in rants and negative posts that revolve around agencies going to encryption due to the broadcasting of scanner audio on the internet. It's now worn out and continues to be the same recycled rants. These rants hijack the threads and derail the conversation. They no longer have a place anywhere on this forum other than in the designated threads in the Rants forum in the Tavern.

If you violate these guidelines your post will be deleted without notice and an infraction will be issued. We are not against discussion of this issue. You just need to do it in the right place. For example:

Not odd at all. Especially with the social media available these days.

I have had many over the years (not bragging or anything). They seem to be attracted to law enforcement officers, firefighters and EMTs, and of course the military. And of course they are Never attractive (to me anyway).

I had one that actually followed me from one employer to another when I changed jobs. She finally gave up though.

Wow didn't know it was that serious to be honest. It seems here in the city, people just ignore you no matter what feild your in. What attracts people here is cars because high priced cars are hard to find in driving around here because of parking, jams and the constant fender bender. So when you see a Bentley go down the road everyone turns their head but when you see someone collaspe on the ground everyone is just passing by. "So how long was it since he collaspe on the ground? about 15 minutes, and you waited that log cause..." "I thought someone else called 911, I saw people on their phones looking at him as they passed by" A the bystander effect, everyone in the city is on their mobile dispite whats going on around them.

The FDNY later removed beds, video games and TVs from all firehouses.
Where do they sleep? And no TV? WTF!

When I was a firefighter explorer I new a girl that was like that. Just plain weird. I can see how this would be a PITA to firefighters because when I was in Jr high I had a few girls slip notes into my locker and follow me around. I did go to a movie with one of them eventually, but it never amounted to anything.
