Me and a buddie have formed a fake fire department to roleplay dispatch and communications on the app Zello.its a walkie talkie app.if you intrested in joining you can reach me by my email clayray@telus.net or downloading the app and searching for the channels named Gwyne fire.
Gwyne is a small village in wetaskiwin county.it currently dousnt have a fire department thats why we picked it to roleplay with.were lookig for firefighters and officers

Yes ... RadioReference definitely does have some weird individuals with some weird ideas. We just have to live amongst them I guess.

Keep in mind that the original poster I believe is 15 years old. So he is just a kid wanting to have some fun pretending to be a member of the emergency services. The only reason I am aware of this is because he comes into the Edmonton Fire Radio chat room from time to time.

Is it an odd idea? Sure. But knowing a little about the person behind the request brings it into focus. At least he's not some old guy wanting to pretend to be something that he isn't while driving around responding to calls he hears on his scanner in a personal vehicle with the word patrol duct taped on the door. (and yes, this actually has happened).

Thanks Edmonton Fire Radio and sorry clay_ray ... I was more concerned about the topic, more so than the individual.

It just didn't seem normal, the whole thing was just weird to me, as it was to others. We are all hobbyists here .. and I know we have different ideas what we should do with our hobby. I know at one time .. I was a newbie too, and probably came out with some strange ideas myself.
