Seems to be. We had ours the day after Christmas.

The one in JAX and the one here were really avoidable if people believed emergency vehicles have the right of way.

Who had the right of way in NJ? I know I've heard comms when multiple units were responding where paths might cross that "Unit X approaching X and Y". I've even heard fire dispatchers telling responding units if LE was responding lights and siren too (like to a shooting to secure the scene for medics).

I hope all the injured fully recover.

There is a simple rule that all drivers learn at training = you STOP at all red lights and stop signs, and proceed only when you are completely sure that it is safe - this is the law in most states. Also do not run up on another vehicle because they may just stop - always give yourself plenty of room.

It is not how fast you get there - its that you get there safely!!!

I lived in North Bergen NJ where the North Hudson Regiuonal Foire Dept. is. I reside in Tampa now and I must tell you that the NHRFD does not have a good track record at all ends of their operation(bad radio system, slow response times, corruption as well). They have been recieving tons of complaints on how they fight fires and respond to alarms. I am not surprised at this incident at all with those guys.
