• Effective immediately we will be deleting, without notice, any negative threads or posts that deal with the use of encryption and streaming of scanner audio.

We've noticed a huge increase in rants and negative posts that revolve around agencies going to encryption due to the broadcasting of scanner audio on the internet. It's now worn out and continues to be the same recycled rants. These rants hijack the threads and derail the conversation. They no longer have a place anywhere on this forum other than in the designated threads in the Rants forum in the Tavern.

If you violate these guidelines your post will be deleted without notice and an infraction will be issued. We are not against discussion of this issue. You just need to do it in the right place. For example:

If it's anything like that "Bon Echo" beta (or whatever they called it), then I will wait for the final version.

I know it was a beta, but it messed up everthing for me. Thank goodness I saved my bookmarks in a file. I had to undelete and reinstall FF all over again. Now my FF does not work the same as it did. For example, when I first open FF, it does not open to the full maximized position, I have to maximize it. Also, I cannot choose anymore where my bookmarks go. I have to save the bookmark, then go into the bookmark utility an put it where I want it.

I uninstalled and reinstalled FF several times. I even removed all instances of FF from my registry. I still have the same problems; all caused by that FF "Bon Echo" beta. I will just have to wait when I do my yearly hard drive wipe and reinstall Windows to fix it.

Did you try removing your Firefox profile as well? Go to start > run and type in %appdata%
Then rename or delete the Mozilla / Firefox folder and restart Firefox to create a new default profile.... then u can import your favs, etc...

I tried the 2.0 portable FF is there a changelog anywhere? I'll be sticking with 1.5 until 2.0 is final.
