Been listening to Flag PD everyday for nearly 3 years now and as of 2 days ago, I hear nothing. Its not just on one scanner, its all of them.

They are on the Northern Arizona University trunk system w/ NAU PD. NAU PD is still coming in fine, but no more Flagstaff.

Anyone know of any recent changes?

I kind've wondered about that myself-comming south on US89 through Flag on my way to Phoenix-all I heard on the NAU system was the parking patrol. They havn't encrypted have they?

funny you replied to this just as I made some headway on the issue...lol

I'm picking up what sounds like Flag PD, using the same control frequencies, but different talk group IDs.

For instance events channel 3 appears to now be TGID 3312
Im also picking up (what I believe is) flag PD on TGID's 3248 and 3216.

Strange thing is when the dispatcher keys up Im getting a wierd high pitched two tone sound at the beginning of each transmission.

I'll keep updating as I get more info...

TGID 3216 shows as NAU parking enforcement, so it more than likely was not a flag PD transmission. However TGID 3312 is confirmed as Flag PD Channel 3 "Events" Its more of a "talk-around" channel and used quite often.

TGID 3248 Im 90% sure is channel 1 dispatch. Im 100% positive its Flag PD.

Also here on RR, it only lists 6 system frequencies for the NAU trunked system, but SWFG lists 11. The control channels are different in the SWFG as well, and seem to work rather than those listed here on RR.

Last time I was in flag I didn't hear anything on the NAU system either. I thought maybe the APS system I was listening to was just to busy and was not letting NAU get through. I have a trip this week into Flag and I'll check it out.

>>EDIT: Just thought of something. Are they on that Trunked System for First Responders? I did a License search and seen a new system licensed to the City of Flagstaff for First Responders.<<

The seven freqs you have listed above are included in the eleven that I already have programmed (SWFD 9th edition). But as I said, I put my scanner into search mode for this system and see what pops up. Thanks again for the heads up here.

Cool glad to pass the info from one group to this forum! (Thanks to Prescott users)

KDX3CB... When you have all the info. Submit it to the database. (Sys ID of D214 not listed yet).

I'll be in Flag tomorrow. Trying to decide to run Unitrunker or my audio logger. Unitrunker good at monitoring a system and seeing whats going on. The Audio logger lets me identify what TalkGroups are what.

You welcome about the new info,

I posted the updated info on our Prescott group this past weekend for Flagstaff's new trunking system, SID D214.

The system has been up for about 2 months now with some very limited radio techs but PD and waste mgmt recently moved over within the past week.

The system works very well with a BC330T down here on the north side and the higher locations of Prescott, in fact it is much better than the old NAU system where there was zero Control Channel coverage down here at all.

So far the only services heard have been Flag PD on the Tg's listed and Waste mgmt ( TG 9916 ) , no NAU and no S.O. Tg's have been heard yet.

It was reported that TG:3216, the main dispatch channel, was heard on the NAU system at around the same time that Flag had already transitioned over to SYSTEM D214 so it's possible and highly likely that the 2 systems are tied together or could be if needed.

Which of the 11 frequencies are the control frequencies? I'm going to be writing my northern Arizona V File soon and don't want to enter all 11.

I have a new one.
TG: 3223 Sounds like EMS Paging / Dispatching

Once you are sure that is true, can you please submit it to the Flagstaff TRS database for inclusion.

Thanks,
