This might sound dumb but is there anyway to program the freq's in my radio and tone out the OPP, ie enter a PL for moh or mto??

Extremely vague

???

What scanner do you have? What tower are you monitoring?
Do you understand that the OPP that you listen to are on a fleetnet system witch frequencies for towers and talkgroups?

You can not listen to the OPP if you simply choose not to enter in the talkgroups for them and enter in the talkgroups you choose to listen to.

Maybe you are listening to the OPP conventional frequencies, if you dont want to listen to them simply click lock out and delete.

By entering there pl tone, just wondering if something like that could be done to drop the opp's data... I been puting the fonthill tower numbers in

There's no 'data' per say. The OPP use P25 digital. This is not compatible with an analog scanner. They only way you can hear them is with a P25 scanner.

No, you'll need to buy a proper trunk tracking scanner to filter out the OPP.

Are the MNR P25 as well?

Ya. The days of using 'tones' as you called them to weed out the OPP are long gone, dare I say a century ago in the late 1990's.

As mentioned by others you can type in the MNR frequencies listed but in order to hear the MTO and MOH you will need a trunk tracking scanner.

That old system the OPP used before they came on Fleetnet was called the "NORS SYSTEM" and the beeping noise you heard was a computer generated noise to tell what was the active channel or "MARKER" as it was called.

Hope this helps
