I just ordered some LMR400 cable for two new antennas. As buddrousa advised me, I should get a small flexible portion to connect to my radio, as the LMR400 is thick, and not very flexible - can anyone help in recommending that?
When I look for thinner, flexible, cable, I can't find any that is "compatible" with LMR400 - I'm not sure if 50ohm is good enough, or if I will get high loss, so I wanted to ask before ordering the wrong thing.
It will go: Antenna (N male) > Adapter (N female to UHF male) > LMR400 > ferrite core > LMR400 (BNC male) > small, flexible cable > scanner
So, I would need the small ,flexible cable to be a BNC female to SMA male (directly to scanner).
