Searched the forum didn't see this any where.
HDSDR and SDRPLAY on linux followed these instructions and rivals that of a windows installion.
I installed on Debian jessie using linux wine or Ubuntu.

There is a 100% Linux SDR program. I haven't tried it yet, but plan to. They seem to favor Ubuntu. Gqrx SDR – A software defined radio powered by GNU-Radio and Qt

Debian linux is easy to install sdr software "apt-get install gqrx sdr gnuradio rtl-sdr and so on"
or if don't want to install linux you can download live cd's with preinstalled software Qtradio,Gqrx,Gnuradio etc.

That Skywave Linux looks really interesting.. I'm stuck in PCLOS right now. They don't have gqrx in their repository yet. I've been using PCLOS so long I don't want to give it up for another distro.

But, I'm thinking that I might install Debian or Ubuntu as a VM using VBox.
