Can anyone confirm if Franklin Lakes Fire is dispatching CSQ now, or are they still using 131.8. Last I checked, Wyckoff and Ridgewood dispatch were using 123.0 on the frequency and Allendale was using something else, can't remember.

Franklin Lakes PD appears to be dispatching the FD and EMS on 158.9400 in CSQ. I don't hear anything with the 131.8 PL in.
They changed their tones also, only using two tones with no warbles since they are using their new motorola console.

Hello:

Stupid question here, but what the heck. Do I leave the scanner in FM mode to receive Franklin Lakes FD on 158.9400 in CSQ? I had them programmed in with the 131.8 PL yesterday and heard nothing during several PD calls related to the thunderstorms.

Thanks in advance - Mike

P.S. The new PD digital system sounds loud & clear!

Don't use pl with a digital channel, they use NAC, only scanners that decode NAC are the new GRE 500/600.

Steve:

Thanks, but I was referring to the PL I was using for Franklin Lakes FD (analog). A previous post said the FD is now using CSQ (no PL), so my question was whether I leave the FD frequency in FM mode to receive them with CSQ?

Sorry, I should have read the forum a little better, I can't seem to get digital off my mind, it's everywhere, it's everywhere. :D

I checked the database and the FCC site Franklin Lakes DOESN'T use 154.220, I think you must mean 154.2500 and it seems the changed their PL to 79.7
The database now says that Franklin Lakes Fire 154.220 has a PL of 79.7. Did they just change it?

Yes they do use it trust me I know. I am a volenteer FLFD Member. We share many of our fire frequencies with Wyckoff since Wyckoff is a Nortcon HQ.

Can you then confirm that the PL has been changed on 154.2500 from 123.0 to 79.7??? 154.2200 is used by Triboro (Montvale, Woodcliff Lake and Park Ridge) and Bergenfield and Ridgefield Park, Norcon does not have any license on 154.2200 on WQH738.

Hi Bill123456789:

Thanks very much for the confirmation on the PL for 154.2500. Is that the main dispatch frequency for FLFD? If not, can you please let me know what the main dispatch & PL is. I'm visiting FL this week and haven't heard anything on the frequencies I have for FLFD. In fact, last night I saw FLFD training in the parking lot for Market Basket and had the scanner on the entire time - complete silence.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Franklin Lakes FD is now repeaterized with 79.7 being the PL on 154.2500. Good loud clear signal.

Thanks Alarmguy. I did finally hear them loud & clear last night on 154.2500 (79.7). I also heard a dispatch call last night on 158.9400 (no PL). That was loud & clear also.

Does Anyone know what the following frequencits are?
"478.62500 ID 8911" "477.12500" "470.57500" "478.47500" "477.68750" "867.98750 ID 4431" "471.67500"

Also 2 more questions. Does anyone know what it means when FLPD says they will be on portable?
Has anyone found a PD CH 2 yet?

It means they are leaving their patrol car and switching to their Motorola XTS2500 portable radio. No word on an F-2, I haven't heard any references to them switching to a channel 2.

On the 4th of July, I took a trip up there and detected a P25 NAC of 293. "Toys that were used" included the GRE PSR-500 and other multiple scanners scanning everything else nearby.

As a side note, I just took a tour of NJ trying to grab as many NAC tones as I could and recently submitted them to the database. It may be up to a week though before they show due to the volume of submissions before mine.

Cool. I believe NAC 293 is the default Motorola NAC code, many APCO 25 ham repeaters use that because its the standard from what I remember.
