• Effective immediately we will be deleting, without notice, any negative threads or posts that deal with the use of encryption and streaming of scanner audio.

We've noticed a huge increase in rants and negative posts that revolve around agencies going to encryption due to the broadcasting of scanner audio on the internet. It's now worn out and continues to be the same recycled rants. These rants hijack the threads and derail the conversation. They no longer have a place anywhere on this forum other than in the designated threads in the Rants forum in the Tavern.

If you violate these guidelines your post will be deleted without notice and an infraction will be issued. We are not against discussion of this issue. You just need to do it in the right place. For example:

This isn't anything major, its just irritating. I import to FreeScan via EasyGrab and the RRDatabase, and when I look over the data (after importing), sometimes whole groups are listed as 'digital only'. I dont see anywhere that list these frequencies as digital. Here is a link to one of the counties that is listed as 'digital only'. Pierce County, Georgia (GA) Scanner Frequencies and Radio Frequency Reference

Am I missing something, or are these frequencies really digital? If you copy-paiste that page into FreeScan, it will list it as digital under 'Audio Type'.

Nope you're right, it appears to be a bug. Fortunately it's easy to fix. It should be reported (if it hasn't already) on the FreeScan forum on the same site you got the software.

Note that one of the freqs in the link you gave is NXDN, and therefore unmonitorable. Mike

It will be fixed for the next version. In the mean time you can avoid this by turning off the modulation column in EZ Grab or just editing afterwards.
