• Effective immediately we will be deleting, without notice, any negative threads or posts that deal with the use of encryption and streaming of scanner audio.

We've noticed a huge increase in rants and negative posts that revolve around agencies going to encryption due to the broadcasting of scanner audio on the internet. It's now worn out and continues to be the same recycled rants. These rants hijack the threads and derail the conversation. They no longer have a place anywhere on this forum other than in the designated threads in the Rants forum in the Tavern.

If you violate these guidelines your post will be deleted without notice and an infraction will be issued. We are not against discussion of this issue. You just need to do it in the right place. For example:

Hi all,

I have a Uniden BCD325P2 and I am wondering if FreeScan allows the option to add all the frequencies of a county at the same time as opposed to programming each frequency individually?

Sorry for newbie question .. the person that used to program all mine moved away.

Thanks !

Sure, depending on what you select. There are many options to exclude things, depending on what you are importing - conventional or trunked. Both processes are described in the user guide here (links are always blue)

Freescan RR Conv Import - The RadioReference Wiki

Freescan RR Trunk Import - The RadioReference Wiki

You can get to the user guide by clicking on Help / Online Help from within FreeScan, or use the link at the very bottom of each of the pages above to get to the home page of the guide
