2330 5/4/2008 Dallas
Westbound IH-30 is closed due to some sort of Freeway Major which has left a Hole in the bridge over the River or Beckly. Both NB and SB IH-35 are Closed to Traffic.
DPD Air-1 over Incident, DF&R Bat-1 has Beckly Command with E-43 and Many others. DF&R are operating both Ch-1 453.8750 131 & Ch-12 462.6375 173.8. DPD Channels 4 and 9 have activity of this a TXDOT Supervisor is enroute as well as Tripple-9.
Both DPD and DF&R CAD's show numerous calls related to this incident, DPD now clearing ALL SB Beckly Traffic.
AIR-1 reported hole to be 3 to 4 feet in Dia.
AIR-1 now requesting for ALL streets intersecting IH-30 in the area to be closed and traffic re-routed.
THIS IS NOT YOUR STANDARD RUN OF THE MILL ACCIDENT IN DALLAS
DPD calling for A Lot of additional units to close complete access to IH-30 through the Canyon and all points along Downtown into Oak Cliff & West Dallas. This will have serious impact on the comute begining early Monday morning. and potentially through all of next week.
