I was adding some freq's to my PRO-2052. I added 423.925 and according to the list I have it say's its a Buffalo Police channel. However It sounds more like a Security channel. Kinda like a Buffalo Special Police or something.

Anyone Know who uses this freq?

Thanks for the help.

According to my info at the NF2G Scannist Pages, 423.925 is SecureNet, a common frequency for private security to contact the police.

The tone reported to me by monitors in the area is 100.0 Hz instead of 82.5 - can anyone confirm?

I have found 2 tones on this frequency- (82.5 and 127.3). I can't recall if I've ever received 100.0 Hz. I don't spend much time monitoring it.

Freq question; Buffalo Place Security

423.925 is the freq used for the Secure Net for Buffalo Place in downtown Buffalo. It is actually a freq loaned to Buffalo Place Inc by the Buffalo Fire Dept. What you hear on the freq is escorts for downtown workers supplied by the Buffalo Place Rangers. They are sorta a private security force for Buffalo Place. Also around 4:30pm Mon-Fri you will hear a roll call of various office buildings in and around downtown Buffalo, that are on the net, to make sure all is ok at the various office buildings.
Here is a link to the Buffalo Place website that explains the Rangers in more detail:
