Besides RadioReference.com, can anyone recommend any good frequency directory specifically for Washington and Oregon. Book, CD or online. I have seen Northwest Frequency Directory advertisements and am also wondering if anyone has had experience with this and if it is of good quality. Thanks for any information.

If you want the complete FCC database for your area, you can get it here:
http://www.perconcorp.com/prod_pro.htm

Percon has many ways to query it's data and build frequency lists with all of the transmitter information. You will need something like Excel to manipulate the date into the format you need, but it is not that hard to do.

Frequencies and Input?

In the RR Database on conventional analog and digital channels it has freq and input. What is the input for? and is it needed for the scanner? I use just the freqs. and i get both sides perfectly. just curious.thanks, john

For a scanner you really don't need the input, it's a repeater system the units Tx on the input the repeater puts that out as the Rx, hence the name repeater.

The ScannerStuff book is great. If the Pacific NW edition is anything like the SoCal one you will not be disappointed. Best money spent on a book.
