Does anyone know what life net 2-2 out of st joe uses for communications to their dispatch for calls? Are they still on the old vhf or have they switched to p25 like omaha. Im not sure if they'd be on Moswin or the kansas state system if they did go to p25.

St. Joe is still on TX/RX 160.185 PL 131.8. They may switch to other towers if they get outside that range.
Some trunked system managers make it a real PITA to get a helicopter programmed. In Omaha, we normally have to fly a helo to Douglas County 911 to get their radio guys to program them. They trust nobody with their system key. Likewise, for Iowa's system, we e-mail the codeplug to Electronic Engineering, they program it up and e-mail it back. That's what makes it super easy with a P25 phase 2 system.

Yes Life Net uses the above. They usually do radio tests at 7pm and 7am, I believe. Just heard them not too long ago.
