Friendswood Texas PD question

I haven't heard any traffic from friendswood PD in quite sometime on the Galveston simulcast site so I'm assuming they are using their own site on TXWARN but someone told me they can no longer be monitored because they use encryption ? Does anyone know if this is so ?

Yes FWPD is ENC has been for some time now... at least 3 years...

It doesn't show this in the database ? Probably should be updated

Their primary channel is not enc its an interop channel the rest is enc

So calls for the PD are still in the clear ?

No… ENC

The current primary channel 5CB is now a Interop channel for other agencies to talk to them thats in the clear the rest is ENC besides ch.8 event channel.

It appears today while monitoring Friendswood yesterday and today that TG 1483 has been active , however is fully encrypted, leaving me wondering if they have switched back to this TG using it as the PD dispatch channel again ? I'm monitoring them on Galveston county simulcast site. I don't hear any activity on TG 3595 labeled as dispatch ? Only TG 1483 E

Any idea if League City switched to encrypted in the last few weeks? Fire/EMS Dispatch seems to work, but I've heard zero PD.
