We've noticed a huge increase in rants and negative posts that revolve around agencies going to encryption due to the broadcasting of scanner audio on the internet. It's now worn out and continues to be the same recycled rants. These rants hijack the threads and derail the conversation. They no longer have a place anywhere on this forum other than in the designated threads in the Rants forum in the Tavern.

The manual isn't clear in this regard, so

How does one utilize the CW mode on the FT-2900R ?

Buy a separate keyer or some such ? Thought it could have been accomplished with the Mic.

Thank You.

Page 60 explains settings for the CW training feature.
No keyer necessary, as it does not transmit.

I had seen page 60 re training and such, but didn't realize it couldn't transmit.
Actually thought it was a supported mode when I bought it ...

Ah well, your info is much appreciated.

I'm going to buy a base station next that will definitely have those features.
