I picked up a FT 8900r to use for packet. Winlink probably. I can't get the 6 pin din to talk to the Signalink. No power. Is there a switch in the settings to set or is radio socket bad?

Are you running a packet soundcard program on your PC to emulate a TNC? The SignaLink is only a soundcard modem with a computer interface, not a "real" TNC that does AX.25. Just a thought, but probably pointing out the obvious.
