FTDI Driver

I am trying to upload from WIN500 to my Whistler 1065. I keep getting the error message "Can't load the FTDI Driver" I have gone and downloaded the update and still receive his message . Any help would be appreciated.

What program cable are you using?

That driver has to do with the cable you are using.

Try opening WIN500 using the WIN500_com.exe file.

I was getting the driver error when working with my PRO652 until I tried the above, works fine now.

I keep getting that same message when I open my psredit software.

From what I can tell, the newer cables no longer use the FTDI chip. I've had a few emails about upload issues from PSREdit500 failing at 99%. And The error message also indicates the change in the cables. In PSREdit500, use these settings:

Under the Configuration Menu, select the Serial Port Settings. On the screen that appears, select the COM Port option, and then at the bottom of the page, check the option to add extra delay while uploading to the radio. You'll need to determine the correct COM port to use.
