Next to a scanner...
Agree. There has been a little traffic today on 324 also - and it's not TDMA - older P25 scanners could hear that traffic around 10:27-10:41 this morning. They were on TGID 9 on Monday (also not Phase 2 TDMA), TG 322 (TDMA) on Tuesday. In the last few days, I only have log-in (affiliation) information for the following talkgroups:
9, 321, 322, 324, 327
It looks like maybe patches are being tested.

EDACS Provoice is still in use. I think until April but that's just speculation.

So, does someone of an official nature put out a list of TG’s on this system, or do we just have to figure it out ourselves to update RR?

It's not likely that government officials would publish that information. They might get fired if not prosecuted for doing that. People will probably have to figure it out themselves. If you had the money you could file a FOIA request (or whatever the state equivalent is).

I haven't seen any new things yet on the new system. I am using DSD+ FL 2.165 Are they on vacation? Seems like a dead parking lot lately with a CC channel on continuous transmit. Why are all the LCN's secondary control channels? I am sure DSD+ has the right frequencies comparing it to the OKC P25 site listing in the RR database.

Hearing tone testing on 324. Different tonal frequencies being sent in 5-second bursts, going up then back down again.

If I remember correctly this is a Harris system, which makes since going from Provoice. Harris usually has all channels available as AltCC.

What have I done wrong here. I cant get DSD+ 2.165 Fastlane to populate all the 20 frequencies in CC Channel Activity

Got mine working. Alot of TDMA about 2 or 3 time slots per frequency. Kind of like DMR but its not DMR. Looks like they can have smaller groups of frequencies per site reduces simulcast distortion. I want to think P25 P2 TDMA would be a bit wider than expected because of the demand PD, Sheriff, Fire, EMSA, all other City services will have on it. It uses high speed data and maybe its not as wide as I want to think. Cell phones use TDMA as well and their channel/time slots are very wide but not really a good comparison. Just guessing.

The Techs on TG=335 had issues turning on TDMA. There was no TDMA for quite a while. (That's my observation from the time starting DSDPlus 2.165 Fast Lane.) They were having issues with the system for a little bit. I suppose TDMA coming live was what they wanted because no more messages about the error.

P25 Phase 2 and DMR both have only two time slots per RF channel.
Simulcast distortion has nothing to do with the number of frequencies used.

Unfortunitly I have not been advised that EMSA will be on this system. For now we will continue to use a patch. Our dispatch director is working with them to try to get us on the system but for now we remain on OKWIN which is fine with me bc our audio sounds great and the audio from the testing on the new system isnt that great. The patches for PD they had running a few weeks ago actually sounded good but not the voice audio on 335, 324 ect

You're right P25 PII isn't sounding that great at all presently. There is some kind of recording on 324 I can't discern. Seems muffled.

It will be like that for a while. Last year when a new P25 system went online near me it was filled with all sorts of testing and tones and patches. Even after the system went live it was 6 months later before it seemed to be working well.
But that could also be the contractor who was setting up the system. There are so many variables involved with systems like these.
For the FD the first few weeks were the hardest. Stations not receiving alerts and having to "monitor" the radios for calls for days at a time.
Having to test audio profiles because no body thought to test that with SCBA units. They ended up testing audio profiles from other departments and there were noticeable differences in them, at least to my ears.

Still a repeating robotic voice recording on TG's 324 and 323.

Radio traffic observed today that seemed to indicate progress:

"channel 4 confirmed I see it" Same with channel 5. "I see high speed". "5 is complete reconnected back in service"
"6 is on"
"sending test to ch5" then something about high speed.
"6 is complete" "confirmed 6 is complete"
"confirmed 0db" (multiple times in the same hour)
