Gadsden Public Safety Trunking System, Gadsden, Alabama - Scanner Frequencies yes except for the groups marked E for Encrypted.. in fact most any analog trunking scanner will work.

Be advised that Gadsen city and Etowa County are in process of switching to a digital P25 system. Gadsden / Etowah County Public Safety Trunking System, Gadsden, Alabama - Scanner Frequencies Once the switch is complete, you will need a digital trunking scanner to receive the system, not analog. I'm not from that part of Alabama so I don't know what agencies will be or are encrypted.

No they are not switching again. Everything is encrypted except for the etowah county vfd and hear network which is patched into the system.
