I have been away from scanning for a bit and never was good with it. I am inputting freqs on ARC246 software and the freqs are 119.2 up to 348.6 and all in between do I set these up using conventional, UHF, UHV or what? Thank you for some help here.

Well if your talking about Airband frequencies then 119.2 would be conventional and AM as for 348.6 that is out of band for the BC246T. It doesn't have the Milair band.

Such a search would be horribly inefficient - it would take entirely too long to cover such a large chunk of spectrum. You will almost certainly miss traffic on the frequencies you've already passed. It's much better to break it down into chunks - say 1 mhz each for argument's sake - and perform a search on that, using the software (ARC246 in this case) to record the hits and audio, so it can be researched later. Much less chance of missing traffic, since you will sample it again rather quickly
