Generic PC interface cables for Pro-97

Hi all,

I have just recently purchased a Pro-97, my first scanner, and whilst it is in transit I want to pick up some accessories for it...my question is - I see alot of mention to the RS and GRE interface cables, but I live in Australia so we don't have RS here that I know of, is there a generic type of PC interface cord that I can get that would allow my Pro-97 to work with Win97? Or will I have to order one over the net somehow from the US? I know that I can get 1/8 -> serial cables here but will any old one do?

I have used the ICOM OPC-478 with a stereo to mono adapter and it has worked just fine. I have also use the cable for the Yeasu (CT-29A) the same way.
