• Effective immediately we will be deleting, without notice, any negative threads or posts that deal with the use of encryption and streaming of scanner audio.

We've noticed a huge increase in rants and negative posts that revolve around agencies going to encryption due to the broadcasting of scanner audio on the internet. It's now worn out and continues to be the same recycled rants. These rants hijack the threads and derail the conversation. They no longer have a place anywhere on this forum other than in the designated threads in the Rants forum in the Tavern.

If the system is 800 MHz, you shouldn't need any Custom tables. You shouldn't need one for 700 MHz, either, for those scanners that will trunk track on 700 MHz

As above, it just scans normally (in digital mode) as any other type II system. No special programming needed.

I should have an updated list coming out on the GEWIN Cobb County portion in a few days of what talkgroups are active (don't ask how I get this info!).

There is a new system entry for the COBB system on the GEWIN trunk page. Could the poster of the custom table on the GEWIN page help fill us in on this? Does this apply just to Pro-96 users? I'm using the Uniden 396t and it trunks perfect without, thanks...

I'm not sure where those offsets came from, but they are definately invalid for 9600bps systems. As mentioned, you don't need to set a custom table for 800mhz systems. The default tables will work just fine.

Someone may want to update the news entry because those are also the same base and offsets for the State-owned GEWIN control channel also, not just Cobb as the news entry seems to suggest.
