We've noticed a huge increase in rants and negative posts that revolve around agencies going to encryption due to the broadcasting of scanner audio on the internet. It's now worn out and continues to be the same recycled rants. These rants hijack the threads and derail the conversation. They no longer have a place anywhere on this forum other than in the designated threads in the Rants forum in the Tavern.

Woman Killed in the Redlands
KREX Ch. 5
Posted on May 26, 2008 by Peter Schaller

A Grand Junction woman is killed right in front of her own Redlands apartment complex.
The 911 call came in at around 5:30 this morning and the caller reported a traffic accident, saying someone was hurt.
Details are limited but police say a newer silver Dodge pick-up truck ran the woman over.
Paramedics raced to the Cluster apartment complex on Ridge Circle Drive in the Redlands.
They performed CPR to try to revive the 49 year old woman, but they were unsuccessful.
The Grand Junction Police Department taped off the scene, and investigators were called in to figure out what happened.
The coroner has not released the woman's name.
The charges the driver might face and their identity is not being released.
The accident is under investigation.

The link has a short video.

On a side note, in the video, there are some decent shots of the new paint scheme of GJPD's cars and their new Chargers if that may be of interest to anyone.
