When I load a v-folder into the active memory (func, pgm, load, etc) the global attenuation mode goes to global and G shows in the display. The pgm menu shows attenuation mode in global although global attenuation indicates off. So I func/att to set attenuation mode to normal. But when I load another (i.e. any other) v-folder, the att mode goes back to global. Just a minor inconvenience but it seems to me that global scanner setting would remain unchanged no matter what's in the memory.

The G only means that the radio is in global attenuation mode. The signal is not being attenuated unless the A is also present.

It seems that each V-Folder is its own like "Scanner" i have changed a couple of the settings in the "Glob-Settings" to receive Edacs better on the "Workpad" but, when i loaded V-Folder 13 my area, those settings were still set the previous default way.....When i put that VF-13 back and reloaded my "00" Workpad they were still the way i had changed them...Also thats correct on the "G", unless the "A" is also showing the "atten" is not on...When i purchased my PRO96 the "A" and the "back-lite" were set to "ON" in all the V-Folders from the factory!!...

Yes, each "V-Scanner folder" is a complete image of the scanner's settings, just like the PC/IF transfer format (if you use PC software).

The "Global Attenuation" settings should follow the V-Scanner data. I just tried it here with a few different V-Scanner loads... after the reboot at the end of V-Scanner operations, the Global Atten settings matched the states of the "files" I'd stored into those folders.
