Hi All,

I am looking for some assistance please?

I have purchased the programming cable and also RSS software - after being given the run around by Motorola, they put me into the right direction.

The issue I have is I dont think it is the right RSS....

I have a Moto GP1200, people also class it as the Jedi GP1200, with this in mind should my RSS for HT/JT1000/VISAR work?

I dont think I have the energy to be bounced around by Moto again!

Any assistance would be appreciated.

Did you get the software from Motorola Europe?

I'm pretty sure that's a Euro radio and you'll need Euro RSS for it.

The GP1200 is a Europe radio and is from the mid to late 80's and is not supported by Moto any more and software is are to find.

Erm I think they are the euro model, I was given the run around by Moto and they basically said speak to a local dealer or d/w from the internet - due to its age they didnt care about the copyright!

So I downloaded loads and found a CPS that runs in XP - it reads and rights and programmes the channels / freq etc..

However I cant programme the function buttons like I have seen people do in the RSS Dos versions.

So one step forward but still a few backwards....

I am starting to think it might have been flashed or updated and why the older RSS is not reading it...

I have managed to programme freq using a GP1200 CPS - strange as I thought the radio used RSS DOS... however the CPS lets me do most things, just not setup any of the buttons...
